Eri Cahyadi (born in 1977) is an Indonesian politician and bureaucrat who has served as Mayor of Surabaya since 26 February 2021.
He has a degree in civil engineering from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology.
Surabaya is the capital city of the Indonesian province of East Java and the second-largest city in Indonesia, after Jakarta.
Located on the northeastern corner of Java island, on the Madura Strait, it is one of the earliest port cities in Southeast Asia and has been the chief trading center of eastern Java since the 14th century. I t is also the economic, financial, and business center of East Java.
Surabaya is also known for its cultural and art heritage.
