Gong Zheng was born in 1960 and is a Chinese politician currently serving as deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Shanghai Committee and Mayor of Shanghai. With a Ph.D. in economics, Gong has has different positions, incluing governor of Shandong province, the CCP Secretary of Hangzhou, vice governor and executive vice governor of Zhejiang province, and deputy director of the General Administration of Customs.
