Sari is the capital of Mazandaran Province and one of the metropolises in northern Iran. Sari is the largest and most populous city in Mazandaran and is located between the northern slopes of the Alborz Mountains and the southern shores of the Caspian Sea. Due to this geographical location, the city has a moderate climate.

Sari has many historical and natural sights, and tourism is one of the most important pillars of its economy. Agriculture, industry, and the wood and paper industries of Mazandaran are also among the important industries of this city.
