Reza Zendedel was born in 1979 and holds a master's degree in urban planning. He is the former mayor of the cities of Sarein (Ardabil) and Rudsar (Gilan) and is a member of the Strategic Managers Group of the Expediency Discernment Council.

Lahijan is a city in Gilan Province, northern Iran.
