Abdul Latif Hamed Al-Mishari is a Kuwaiti engineer and politician and has been serving as Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs since 2024. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University. He has previously worked as an Advisor to the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers.

The foundation of the city dates back to 18th century, and emerged as a modern city after  the development of Kuwait’s petroleum industry after World War II.
