Eldar Azizov is the head of the Executive Authority of the City of Baku since November 15, 2018. He holds a graduate degree in History from Azerbaijan State University and has served in multiple state positions including deputy head of the Executive Authority of Baku and deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He was awarded the "Order of Honor" in 1980 and the “Order for Service to the Homeland” in 2017.

Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan, its largest city, and also the largest city on the Caspian Sea coastlines.

The city is the scientific, cultural, and industrial center of Azerbaijan, featuring a fusion of tradition and modernity.

Baku’s largest industry is petroleum. Tourism also plays a vital role in the city’s economy.
