Alireza Mahmoudi is a PhD graduate in urban planning whose executive experience includes serving as the Director General of Urban Affairs and Islamic Councils of Zanjan Municipality, Deputy Director of Urban Services of Arak Municipality, and a member of the Islamic Council of Arak City.

Arak is the capital of Markazi Province and is located in the center of Iran. This city has a very old history, has a unique traditional and religious architecture that makes it a historical tourist destination.
Arak, however, is better known as an industrial city. Arak ranks first in terms of the diversity of industrial products in the country and is the second city in Iran in terms of the presence of mother industries. Therefore, Arak is considered one of the four industrial poles of the country.
