Muhittin Böcek, born in 1962 in Antalya, has a master's degree in Public Administration and Political Science. He has served as Mayor of Konyaalti from 1999 to 2014, and was elected Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in 2019 and was re-elected in 2024. President of the Mediterranean Municipalities Union, Chairman of the Board of the Western Antalya Tourism Protection and Development Region Infrastructure Services Union (BATAB), the Konyaaltı Tourism Education and Culture Foundation (KONTEV), and the Konyaaltı City Council are among other positions he has held in his professional life.
